Go Bama!

Brian and I had a wonderful trip to Atlanta to see Bama play in the GA Dome. We missed Kae bunches, but it was quite nice to get away for just one night. :) Bama had an awesome opening game! We beat Clemson 34-10! I hope we can keep it going this season! Rooollll Tide! We wrapped up our trip with a visit to the Cheesecake Factory... YUMMY!

Roooooll Tide!

Even Kaelyn is ready for Bama's season opener! We are heading to Atlanta to watch them play Clemson tomorrow...Yay! Kaelyn is staying behind with Aunt Jacque & Uncle David. We will miss her but it will be fun to get away and watch the game! =)

Fish Face!

Here is Kaelyn's fish face! She loves to make us do it with her! =)

That vid was from a couple of nights ago. Today we had a crazy morning and Kaelyn was crying "teeth" and holding her cheek when she was eating a soft cereal bar. I got her some motrin and did see some huge molars coming in. Once these 2 get in that will be 18 teeth! wow! I had taken her temp early this morning and it was fine, but shortly after I got to work I got a call saying she had a fever of 100.4. So back to the daycare I went! Poor baby, she is napping right now, and I think she just needs some TLC from Mommy and motrin every now and then. :)

A taste of her own medicine...

Well, today Kaelyn decided to push the wrong boy... and he pushed her back! They were on the playground and the mulch scraped her up pretty good in between her nose and upper lip. I feel bad, but maybe this will help her understand that she can't go around pushing and hitting her friends. :-s

Body Parts!

I was in the video mood and realized Kae had never done all of her body parts on video. I still forgot a few, back, fingers, tongue, etc.. and she informed me afterwards. lol

The Letter 'K'!

Kaelyn shows you her favorite letter! =) School has been going good, but since it's the start of a new school year Kaelyn has a new teacher and new friends. The 2 year olds she has been with this summer all moved up and the new 1 year olds are coming. She has had a bit of a time adjusting. She had learned to play a little rougher with the big kids and now there are "babies" as she calls them. She has pushed a few and hit a bit. =( She pushed one girl so hard it bent her glasses!! I am so embarrassed! lol We are working on it. When they told her they would have to tell mommy she said "Mommy sad" lol. We talked and I had told her it makes mommy sad when she hits her friends. On the way to school we talk about how she is going to be nice and she goes on saying "niiice baaaaaby" Her teachers say it's a normal phase...I just hope it passes soon!

Hot and Cold...

Kaelyn noticed the blue and red on the bathtub faucets so we explained to her last night that blue means cold and red means hot. Tonight I decided to turn on the camera and see if she remembered. She did!! And then she continues on to give you a weekend recap. She's been saying "Mump-me dose" (translation- Monkey Joes) aaaaaall weekend! She even said it on the way to school this morning! We'll definitely be going back! :)

I Scream, You Scream...

...We all scream for ice cream! After Monkey Joe's we all went for ice cream. I actually let Kaelyn have an ice cream cone all to herself! Well, we kind of shared it b/c I don't eat much ice cream, but she loved getting to hold it herself. Each time she would get it up to her mouth to take a bite it would get on her chin and she would wipe it and squint those little eyes and say "face". She did not like it getting on her face lol...prissy! Finally, she decided to dig in! =)

Monkey Joe's!

Saturday we went to Monkey Joes! It was a pretty fun place! Kae didn't really feel well when we got there and was a little cranky, but then she finally warmed up. Then Monkey Joe came out and she was terrified. She laid in the floor, face and all, and cried. Don't think she likes characters in person much. Last time we were at Chuck E. Cheese (she calls him Mickey Mouse) he touched her face and she cried. I must admit though Monkey Joe, some crazy purple monkey, was pretty scary looking!! Here are a few pics!

Where is my baby?!

My baby is turning into a little girl too fast! Her vocabulary these days consists of pretty much whatever we say...she always attempts to copy us. =)

Boo-ah Down (Telling Brewer, our dog, to get down)
Dada Back Soon (I tell her Daddy will be back soon from work)
Back Soon Mommy (When I go she tells me to come back soon)
Love You Mock Mock (phrase from my family... means I love you a lot or much!)
Pretty Max (She says this when we put her hairbow in, she puts on her purse, outfit, or paints her toes... she wants to look pretty for Max, her "best friend" at school - her 1st kiss)
Fall BooBoo (Nana told her she could fall and get a booboo)
Knee, Tis (Knee, Kiss... when she hurts something she wants you to kiss it...too cute!)
Please and Thank You Dada, Mommy, Nana, Papa, etc..
Shake Shake Booey (Shake your booty lol)
She knows all of her colors...she says them all pretty well, but bean = green hehe
Knows several shapes - circle, square, heart, star, triangle, octagon, oval
Knows 1,2,3 ... working on #s and ABC's
Says Amen after prayers and blessing
She knows all of her classmates names... Grace, Whit, Julia, Max, Ashy = teacher Ashlie, and she calls Emory 'E'
Very interested in us going 'potty' but still not going herself consistently

Impact of Hope!

Last night was our 1st annual Impact of Hope Benefit!! For those of you who don't know... God placed a desire in Brian's heart to plan this benefit for 2 families we know that are going through very rough times. You can read more about them HERE! We had a great turnout and raised around $7,000 for these families! It was lots of fun and the youth groups that came out to participate in the show were super talented! Kaelyn enjoyed all of the music and had lots of fun dancing! =)

Chuck E. Cheese

We ended our Saturday with a night of fun at Chuck E. Cheese. Aunt Jacque and Uncle David tagged along for all of the excitement! Kaelyn wasn't feeling her best, but was still in a good mood. Hope she's not coming down with anything. :-\

Time for a Trim

Well, it's already time for Kaelyn's 1st trim since getting her bangs on June 14th. She was a very big girl and did a wonderful job for Aunt Jacque! =)

Summer Fun!

When Kaelyn FINALLY decided to wake up today, we played with our new Dora water and sand table (ToysRus steal at $20 - umbrella and all!) I say FINALLY because she slept from 8pm last night until 1:00PM today!! I kid you not! I checked her a million times! I was in total shock! Needless to say, I don't believe she'll need a nap today!
